There are several initiatives around the world to provide access to the Word of God for every person on the planet. These are generally transformed into projects for access to and use of the Scriptures. The Church (Brazilian missionary movement), however, lacks data and information, from Brazil and in Portuguese, that would allow it to answer questions such as:
· How many and which languages are spoken in Brazil?
· What portions of the Bible have already been translated (in text, audio and video) into each of these languages spoken in the country?
· Which languages have Bible access and Bible engagement projects underway and which ones do not?
· Where are the communities that speak each of these languages? Among others...
The report of the project “Collaborative Information for the Translation Movement” (CITM) aims to build responses.
The CITM intends to highlight the “collective knowledge” of APTB members through this report. We will describe the linguistic groups in Brazil (related to the translation movement) in a simplified way and in a comparative model. We must indicate that the work will be carried out in relation to linguistic groups (not ethnic groups). Each year, in the month of October, we will make available a new version with updated information according to the needs or interactions of decision-makers.
The CITM project is embodied in the production of 5 documents (or products):
1) ICMT Full Report;
2) ICMT Executive Report;
3) ICMT Strategic Atlas;
4) ICMT Simplified photography;
5) ICMT DataViz.
1- The document “Full Report" seeks to provide Brazilian leadership with useful information adapted to the Brazilian context, based on a set of reliable data/information. It is an executive report, whose main objective is to encourage the execution of new projects so that all linguistic groups that need it have the complete Bible.
2- The document “Executive Report” is a summary of information that should not exceed 5 pages.
3- The document “Strategic Atlas" seek to eliminate doubts about which languages we are dialoguing for collaboration between actors. The ICMT Atlas presents only map-type drawings.
4- The document “Photography simplified” is a simplified presentation of the project.
5- The document “DataVIZ 2024” (graphs, maps, images, visualizations) are slides with data visualizations.

The average cost of the ICMT project is $6k (US) per year or $500 per month. If you know a generous person, church or organization, please share this investment opportunity.
